On Sunday 7th May, Chef Proprietor of LIMA London and Central (ranked no.5 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants), Virgilio Martinez, will host a collaborative lunch and dinner with long-term friend and rising star, chef Erik Ramirez of Peruvian restaurant Llama Inn in Brooklyn. Marking the first collaboration in a series of ‘LIMA Presents:’ collaborations, the event will be a true celebration of Peruvian cuisine.
Taking place at LIMA Floral for one lunch and dinner service only, the event will be a first for London, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience the coming together of two of the world’s most prominent Peruvian chefs. With a shared passion for the culinary techniques, produce and flavours of their native country, the occasion will mark the second collaboration between Virgilio and Erik, who previously cooked together in Erik’s kitchen at Llama Inn, which has been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand as well as a coveted four stars in The New York Times. Hoping to create a relaxed and intimate dining experience, the menu will include a variety of small plates, designed for guests to share. Diners can expect the likes of japanese sea bream with, gooseberry, ginger, haucatay and poppy seed and beef short rib with coriander, peas, potato and chicha de jora among the creative selection.
Each ticket will offer Virgilio’s fans in London the chance to enjoy a meal prepared by the acclaimed chef, as well as the opportunity to discover the cuisine of another accomplished, Peruvian chef in the UK for the first time.
