A General Manager has been appointed to lead the team at the brand new Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West hotel, when it opens in summer 2017.
Experienced hotelier Will Macpherson will be tasked with overseeing the launch and management of the new 160 bedroom modular build hotel, sited on the Heriot Watt University Campus in Edinburgh, as well as ensuring its ongoing success.
The new hotel, located to the west of Edinburgh city centre adjacent to Oriam, Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre and only a few miles from Edinburgh airport, will provide much needed accommodation and meeting space to the city.
Will Macpherson, began his 20-year career in hospitality in Edinburgh, and boasts an impressive CV having worked with some of the most reputable brands in the industry – most recently as general manager of Hilton Garden Inn Glasgow City Centre.

The hotel is owned and being developed by Polcom Developments, best known for its award-winning, specialised modular construction across Europe.
Polcom Developments has appointed the UK’s leading independent hotel management company, Redefine|BDL Hotels (RBH), to take full responsibility for the venue’s operations when it opens its doors this summer.
