Town House at the Kensington is delighted to announce the appointment of Giampaolo Scarfi as Restaurant Manager. Scarfi, previously assistant restaurant manager at The Ritz, will be bringing his 11 years of experience in the industry and working closely with the team to maintain Town House’s position as one of South Kensington’s most luxurious all-day dining destinations.
Giampaolo Scarfi began his career in Rome in 1999 where he worked as Head Waiter at the St. Regis. Since then, he has worked at some of Europe’s finest dining destinations, including The Ritz in London, where he worked as Head Waiter. Following this, the opportunity arose for Scarfi to begin his career in management at Fiore restaurant in London, where he worked as assistant restaurant manager. He then went on to be restaurant manager and Maitre Banquet at Alisal & Federico Salza Catering in Rome. Additionally, Scarfi has also spent time as the on-board food and beverage manager for the world’s largest cruise, travel and leisure company, Carnival Corporation, before making his return to The Ritz as assistant restaurant manager in 2015.
Nestled in the heart of one of London’s most desirable neighbourhoods, Town House is located on the corner of two of London’s iconic thoroughfares, Queen’s Gate and the Old Brompton Road, and is spread across three classically designed drawing rooms, serving locally-sourced, seasonal modern British cuisine.
