Chef Phil Howard, in partnership with Rebecca Mascarenhas, has announced that they will launch a new restaurant – Elystan Street – in September 2016. The site, previously Tom Aikens Restaurant, is located at 43 Elystan Street, Chelsea, London SW3 3NT.
Commenting on the plans for Elystan Street, Phil said: “I still have unfinished business with food, and am incredibly excited to be returning to the heart of a kitchen.”
The modern British menus will have different lunch and dinner formats, but both will offer, according to Phil, “delicious, clean, ingredient-led dishes, full of natural vitality. The aim will be, as it always has been, to give great pleasure.”
The exterior and interior space will be fully renovated and redesigned by Clare Nelson Design, and will accommodate up to 64 in the restaurant, and 12 in a private dining room. Elystan Street will be open daily for lunch and dinner.
Rebecca Mascarenhas and Phil Howard co-own two other successful London restaurants – Kitchen W8 in Kensington (one Michelin star), and Sonny’s Kitchen in Barnes.
Phil Howard, and his business partner Nigel Platts-Martin, sold The Square in Mayfair in March 2016, after 25 years of trading, where it held two Michelin stars and a host of other culinary accolades.
