A duo of famous faces have descended on the celebrity hangout Archie’s, with plans to take the Manchester burger and shake bar Stateside.
Undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather visited the eatery located on Oxford Road, alongside his team to grab a taste of the action. After admitting to ‘falling in love with the place’, the Money Man himself is currently in talks with Archie’s bosses with plans to franchise in Las Vegas.
Co-Owner of Archie’s Imran Rafiq said: “Not only was it an honour to welcome a reining boxing champion through our doors, the fact that he loved it that much that he hopes to open in Vegas is amazing. We are looking forward to putting ideas into action to coincide with our current UK expansion strategy.”
In addition to Mayweather’s visit, rap star The Game, who was in the city to perform at The Ritz also met with the Rafiq brothers to confirm plans of opening a Melrose store in his hometown of Los Angeles.
During his visit, The Game was joined by worldwide community The LAD Bible, who were on hand at the venue to ask the rapper a series of fan questions. The Game and his team have eaten at the diner numerous times before and the rapper has even created his own signature milkshake, Game Time, to add to the star-studded Celeb Shakes menu.
Imran added: “As an eatery that continues to maintain a prominent celebrity following, we are thrilled to have the support from such prominent figures in the music and sporting industry.
“While we have always envisioned to expand Archie’s outside of the UK, having secured a deal with The Game to open up in Los Angeles and to have begun talks with Mayweather to discuss the possibly of taking it to Vegas is beyond what we ever imagined.”
