Big Easy Bar.B.Q and LobsterShack has further boosted its leadership team with the appointment of Steve Rockey as Head of People.
His arrival follows that of Noel D’Arcy as Managing Director, Mayuri Vachhani as Finance Director and non-executive Director, Kevin Todd, all appointed as the new leadership team tasked with supporting the organisation’s ambitious expansion plans.
Rockey joins Big Easy after three years at restaurant brand, Byron, where, as part of the management team, he built and led the people function which supported the business’ fast growth and enabled the £100m sale to private equity firm Hutton Collins.
An expert in strategic HR for fast-growing organisations, Rockey’s plans are going to focus around the culture and values of Big Easy and lead the creation of great people culture to under pin ambitious growth plans.
He comments: “I’m delighted to join Big Easy at such an early and exciting stage in its growth. The UK’s love for B.B.Q is taking off and with Big Easy already being a Bar.B.Q institution in London, I can’t wait to bring our culture and Bar.B.Q to cities around the UK soon. We have a strong management team, great employees and are ready to grow the Big Easy way.”
