Eat to the Beat’s crew are waltzing around the UK as the professional dancers and celebrity stars of Strictly Come Dancing are back on the road for their spectacular annual nationwide tour.
It’s the eighth consecutive year back-stage catering specialists Eat to the Beat have toured with the sparkling Strictly Come Dancing team, ensuring the 73-strong crew and show cast are kept well fed and refreshed during their hectic tour – taking in ten venues in 24 days.
Craig Revel Horwood is head judge and is joined by former Strictly Come Dancing champion Tom Chambers and his professional dance partner Camilla Dellerup. Zoe Ball is hosting the 2015 Tour.
Dusting off their sequins, the celebrity line-up includes the 2014 winner Caroline Flack; former rugby player Thom Evans; TV presenter Scott Mills; singers Rachel Stevens and Simon Webbe, along with TV personalities Alison Hammond and Mark Wright.
Part of Global Infusion Group, artist, production and crew catering business Eat to the Beat has been specialising in backstage catering services for music, entertainment, film and TV industries for over 30 years, working with the biggest names in showbiz.
Eat to the Beat first started touring with Strictly Come Dancing in 2008 following their appointment by the stage show’s producers Stage Entertainment and Phil McIntyre Entertainments.
This year’s popular tour kicked off in Birmingham on January 16 followed by Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow and Liverpool – with the final shows in February in London at Wembley and the O2 Arena.
‘De—-li—cious!’ That’s Craig Revel Horwood’s verdict
In his own inimitable style, Craig Revel Horwood summed up Eat to the Beat’s food as:
“De—-li—cious!”
Mary Shelley-Smith, Eat to the Beat’s Global Operations Director, says: “Strictly Come Dancing is a brilliant show to work on and I’m delighted that we’ve again been asked to cater the requirements of crew and cast members for the 2015 tour. Transporting such a big and popular show around the country to 10 locations in just over three weeks is quite a logistical feat, with crew and cast working long hours. Our role is to ensure that superb food and refreshments are available to them at all times.”
The Eat to the Beat team of Alicia Boardman, Patrick Quilligan, Stuart Butler, Karen Hinckley and Anna Radin linked up several days before the show launch in Birmingham and will remain on the road until the show’s final performance on Sunday, February 8.
