Double-Michelin starred chef, Tom Kerridge, returns to BBC Two with a new 6×30-minute series, Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes.
The new series was commissioned By Alison Kirkham, Head of Commissioning, Factual Features & Formats, BBC One and Two, and was created by the producers of Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food (BBC Two), Outline Productions.
‘Best ever’ versions of Britain’s favourite dishes
In his second series for the channel, Tom will create his ‘best ever’ versions of some of Britain’s favourite dishes, from lush lunches to tasty dinners and weekend specials. In each episode, he’ll also cook for a critical crowd in order to persuade them that his dishes are worth the extra effort and really are the best ever.
The dishes featured will be ones we all know and love cooking, from lasagne to treacle tart. Tom will shake up these classics, share his cooking tips that raise these well-known favourites from the ordinary to the extraordinary.
Tom Kerridge says: “I’m massively pleased and privileged to be asked by the BBC to do a second series, this time entitled Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever Dishes. I’ll be cooking some of the nation’s favourite foods but putting my twist on them and visiting some interesting and passionate people comparing their version of a great dish to mine. Can’t wait!”
Alison Kirkham says: “Tom Kerridge stands out as one of the most successful new talent launches of the year. The audience immediately loved him and his unpretentious approach to cooking and eating. I’m thrilled that we’re able to bring him back on air so soon and hope this is just the beginning of a long and varied career for Tom on the channel.”
