The Hotel Collection has appointed Richard Kiersey as technical services director, effective immediately. The appointment comes shortly after the company, which operates 21 unique properties across the UK, appointed a new board, including Grant Hearn as chairman.
A highly skilled, commercially focused director with wide experience in hotels, Kiersey is responsible for The Hotel Collection’s property development, refurbishment and comprehensive maintenance programmes.
Previous to his appointment, Richard was director of the Liberty Collection, a group of specialists covering all aspects of the hotel industry. Prior to his time at Liberty Collection, Richard was property director at Guoman Hotels, a Malaysian owned hotel group, where he managed a £150 million refurbishment programme for 17 London hotels, before which he was property director of De Vere Group.
Fredrik Korallus, Chief Executive of The Hotel Collection commented: “Richard’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the company as we embark on an extensive investment phase. I am delighted to have Richard on the team and look forward to his contribution to improving the customer experience and the performance of the portfolio.”
