Awarded Scotland ’s Hotel of the Year 2013 at the Scottish Entertainment Guide Awards, the coveted award is the latest in a string of accolades won by the Indigo, managed by Chardon Management.
Hotel Indigo Glasgow was named Hotel of the Year and the hotel’s Denis MacCann was named General Manager of the Year at the recent InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) EMEA Awards in Dublin. Furthermore, the hotel won a Special Credit Award at the recent European Design Awards in London.
Denis MacCann said: “We are delighted to win the coveted title of Scotland ’s Hotel of the Year which, following in the wake of some other recent award wins, stands as testament to the award-winning service we consistently offer to our guests.
“Indigo Glasgow is a vibrant, boutique hotel and, as the award judges acknowledged, it is much more than just another hotel in Glasgow. Its distinctive decor and inviting atmosphere make it unique amongst other Glasgow hotels.”
And Maurice Taylor, founder and chief executive of Chardon Management, said: “This beautiful hotel is arguably the most satisfying with which I have been involved in my long career in the hospitality sector.
“What makes it so special is the dedication of its staff to the pursuit of excellence with the focus fixed firmly on providing guests with a warm welcome. I’m delighted that this dedication has once again been acknowledged with this latest accolade.”
Voting for the Scottish Entertainment Guide Awards Scotland’s Hotel of the Year category was canvassed through social media and a hotel visit, involving a mystery shopper overnight stay, for judging.
