The recent chat between Rishi Sunak and Gordon Ramsay produced by HM Treasury’s PR team did not do either participant any favours. Brand Rishi was definitely dealt an adverse blow, Chef Ramsay marginally less so.
Days after the video was released, Nihal Arthanayake, who presents his afternoon news and interviews show on BBC Headliners spoke with Gordon Ramsay.
Both interviews took a similar amount of time, but Arthanayake through questioning not designed to massage his own ego, served up a very different Gordon Ramsay to Rishi’s.
The conversation over 18 minutes covers a range of subjects, parenting, and of course the new game show. It also thankfully asks questions about the restaurant world and Ramsay’s career in it, as well as his view of the wider industry and the impact from the pandemic. You can listen to the conversation through the podcast player below.
