London event caterer, Seasoned has recently catered for Cancer Research UK’s Kids & Teen Star Awards.
The event, which was broadcast live on ITV’s This Morning and hosted by Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx, was held at the historic Two Temple Place for 20 children who have been affected by cancer. The children were presented with an early Christmas comprising of meeting Santa and sitting in his sleigh, gingerbread decorating, bauble making and enjoying a faux snow shower, in return for them initially missing Christmas festivities in December due to cancer treatments; they were also given an award for their bravery as well as some children ringing a ceremonial bell marking the end of their cancer treatment.
The Star Award winners and their families were then treated to a two course lunch provided by Seasoned which included ‘Snowman Sliders’ consisting of mini cheeseburgers and grilled chicken sliders with sweet potato wedges and a vegetarian option of pasta with roasted vegetables; followed by Seasoned’s ‘Polar Express’, a warm chocolate brownie with marshmallow snowballs, glistening iced snowflakes and vanilla ice cream.
Louise Phillips, Events Manager at Two Temple Place said: “It was our pleasure to welcome Cancer Research UK’s Kids and Teen Star Awards to Two Temple Place. The house was transformed into a Winter Wonderland complete with Santa’s grotto in our Library and a snow filled courtyard. We enjoyed every minute and hope that our guests did too.”
Commenting on the event, Managing Director at Seasoned, Colin Sayers said: “We couldn’t be more proud to have been selected to cater for a fantastic event that celebrates the children’s bravery.”
Sayers continued: “We made sure our menu was as festive as possible while ensuring that children and adults alike could enjoy our food. We also made sure there was plenty of squash to go around, for good measure!”
Seasoned’s catering has appeared on television twice in as many weeks with the event caterer also catering for This Morning’s live wedding at The Shard.
