Following the success of last year’s inaugural Croquetas Challenge in September, Ember Yard will be hosting the competition for a second year and are now calling for entries for restaurants and chefs who wish to take part.
Last year saw a fierce contest between London’s leading chefs in their bid to win the title of the city’s best croquetas, judged by a panel of journalists and food connoisseurs including The Guardian’s Bob Granleese, food writer Joe Warwick, Time Out’s Laura Richards and Catherine Hanly from Hot Dinners.
Looking to elevate the humble bar snack to new heights in a cook-off and tasting as part of a public event in the downstairs bar at Ember Yard, an impressive list of restaurants and chefs signed up to take part including Salt Yard, José Pizarro, Social Wine & Tapas, The Modern Pantry, Brindisa Kitchens, Oldroyd, Aqua Nueva, Duende, Copita, Barrica, Camino, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, Riding House Café, Tapas Revolution, and Señor Ceviche.
This year, looking for chefs to flex their culinary muscles in front of a judging panel in a second ticketed event, Ember Yard calls for restaurants to get in touch via the below email address to receive the official application form, to be completed by Monday 3rd July 2017.
