Buzzworks Holdings, one of Scotland’s largest hospitality groups, has announced the completion of its £250,000 revamp of Kilmarnock bar and restaurant, The Long House.
Work on the venue, one of Kilmarnock’s leading eating and drinking destinations, took place over the course of several months during non-trading hours to minimise disruption to customers and the local community.
The Long House, which is one of nine prestigious venues within the Buzzworks portfolio, received a refreshed exterior and brand new interior including a bespoke lighting feature and natural finishes, alongside a complete revamp of its function suite.
Colin Blair, Buzzworks Holdings Chairman, said: “The Long House has been a popular venue since it first opened its doors in 2012 and we felt now was the ideal time to revamp our offering in Kilmarnock.
“We are particularly proud of the upstairs function suite which we have completely refurbed and can now cater private dining parties, cocktail masterclasses and functions for up to 50 guests.
“The Long House will continue to offer all day eating and drinking in a relaxed and comfortable environment, and we look forward to welcoming new and returning guests to enjoy our stylish new look venue.”
In line with the recent refurbishment, The Long House has also refreshed its menu for spring summer.
The traditional style which the House brand is known for remains, but a revamped breakfast offering and an adaptable speciality section also features on the new menus. The speciality menu is chosen by the Long House senior chefs and incorporates local produce and seasonal favourites.
The Long House is part of the House brand in Buzzworks’ portfolio, which encompasses four Ayrshire venues including The Mill House, The Corner House and Treehouse, along with the soon to open venue in Bridge of Weir, The Coach House.
