There are many different chef shows on TV but for us the one that really is worth following, and we do religiously at the moment, is MasterChef. Currently series 13 is being screened and we have a few contestants so far that we think could go all the way.
ALISON
Alison is from a big Irish foodie family. Her dad was a publican and her aunt and uncle owned restaurants. The way she moves around the kitchen, cool and calm with everything under control demonstrates confidence gained from experience. Her dishes so far have been much to John and Gregg’s approval too, so Alison will progress further in our view.
STEVE
Steve enjoys the technical side of cooking, initially in the fourth heat he made an OK start and then delivered an outstanding pea dish, followed by an equally good pear dessert. The judges were more than full of praise and rightly so, another that could go all the way if he can maintain this standard.
LYNDSAY
Lyndsay is a Drummer and DJ and made a big impression on us. Her timing has let her down so far, but she is adventurous and has shown skill with creativity resulting in great tasting food. If she can calm down a bit and get her timing under control, another with final potential for us.
So what has this got to do with websites?
We were asked by MasterChef finalist Daksha Mistry to review the new website for her catering business Daksha’s GOURMET CATERING. So we took some time and went through it thoroughly. We are using ‘we’ here as most of the team here at H&C News got a say.
When you arrive on the home page of a website you need to see straight away what the website is all about. 10/10 here as the video shows you perfectly, the editorial team particularly liked this.
The sections are laid out as an easy to navigate journey, with not too much and not too little information in each.
The ‘Our Story’ section introduces Daksha and its naming appeals too, so much better than ‘about’.
To put it simply…we think that Daksha’s GOURMET CATERING website has selected the right ingredients, arranged them in a way that blends well, and all presented with style.
The processes Daksha adopted in becoming the MasterChef 2006 runner up seem to have served her well again.
If you are looking for catering services only you can be the judge of whether this dish does indeed work or not, so please take a look let us know.
If you are watching MasterChef tonight Daksha is one of the guest judges, enjoy.
