Giggling Squid, the popular and innovative family of Thai restaurants, is pleased to announce its latest opening in the charming town of Warwick.
Having established a loyal following throughout the country since 2002 with its brilliant combination of bold Thai flavours and authentic cooking techniques, Giggling Squid will be open for lunch and dinner, with room for up to 120 guests, in its relaxed stylish setting.
From lunchtime tapas to delicious curries, street food, salads, rice and noodles, Giggling Squid’s menu lends itself to the distinct sharing culture of Thailand. Warwick guests are invited to experience its rich tapestry of freshly prepared dishes prepared on-site by a team of talented Thai chefs. A dedicated “little tapas for little people” menu is also available and guaranteed to ensure smiles all round.
Like all Giggling Squids, Warwick will have its own individual character and charm with open fireplaces shaping the centre of the restaurant and antique beams throughout. Wooden floors and exposed brickwork, combined with a variety of beautiful reclaimed mirrors, create a warm and welcoming ambience. In keeping with the upcycled theme, the space will showcase classic Giggling Squid features including handmade driftwood artwork and a stunning hand woven, intricate web of flowers, made by Co-Founder Pranee Laurillard. Head downstairs to discover a celebration of Pranee’s imagination; a wonderfully cosy room decorated with trellises artfully covered in foliage.
Owned by Thai-born Pranee Laurillard and her husband Andrew, Giggling Squid – the nickname of one of their three children – was founded in the basement of a tiny fisherman’s cottage, now the Brighton restaurant, where dreams of replicating a little taste of home became a reality. The couple opened their first site in Hove in 2009 and have gone on to establish a strong reputation for authentic Thai cooking with an emphasis on signature curries and coastal specialities. The launch of Warwick takes the family of restaurants to 18.
