Marriott International has appointed Alok Dixit as General Manager of W Manchester and W Residences ahead of their planned opening in 2027.
Dixit brings more than 26 years of hospitality leadership experience to the development.
He joins from London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, where he led a significant transformation of the property and its positioning within the Mayfair hotel market.
His wider career includes leadership positions at London Marriott Regents Park and The London EDITION, alongside senior commercial roles within Marriott.
In his new position, Dixit will lead preparations for the opening of both W Manchester and W Residences as the development progresses towards completion.

W Manchester and W Residences will occupy the 43-storey tower within Relentless Developments’ St Michael’s scheme in Manchester city centre.
The development will introduce the W Hotels brand to Manchester and expand Marriott International’s luxury portfolio in the UK.
W Manchester will combine hotel accommodation with branded residences and will be the third W Hotels property in the UK, joining W London and W Edinburgh.
The development forms part of the wider St Michael’s scheme and is intended to create a new hospitality and residential destination within Manchester city centre.
Dixit’s appointment comes as work continues towards the project’s 2027 opening.
