Toasteé, a new French toast and ube concept from 1996 Group, will open at Westfield White City on 27 October.

The venue has been created by Florence Mae Maglanoc, founder of Panadera and Filipino restaurant Donia, alongside longtime collaborator Adrian Kyle Felipe.
Toasteé becomes the third concept within 1996 Group, joining Panadera and Donia.
The 15-cover venue will centre its food offer around thick-cut French toast made using house-made bread.
Signature versions will include ube jam, matcha ganache and Milo cookies and cream, alongside a classic French toast served with butter and maple syrup.
Seasonal variations will also be introduced throughout the year.
Ube, the purple yam widely used in Filipino desserts, will form a central part of the drinks menu.
The range will include Ube Milk, Ube Latte, Ube Matcha Cold Foam, Ube Banana Milk, Ube Coconut Cold Foam and Ube Horchata alongside speciality coffee.
House-made ice cream will also feature, with flavours including Ube, Pandan Coconut, Strawberry Cheesecake and Miso Caramel, alongside changing seasonal options.
Freshly baked goods will provide an additional takeaway offer.
The concept draws on flavours associated with Filipino and Southeast Asian desserts while incorporating Felipe’s experience developing desserts and ice cream.
The 15-cover interior has been designed around the shape of French toast, using a circular layout and curved architectural elements.
Materials will include terracotta, stainless steel, natural wood and laminated finishes.
On the opening, Adrian says: “Ube has been at the heart of my career in hospitality, inspiring countless desserts and beverages over the years, so it’s incredibly rewarding to bring one of London’s first ube-forward concepts alongside Florence, who has been a massive inspiration to me. We’re building on the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship at Panadera Bakery, using our signature fresh bread as the foundation for French toast, and we hope Toasteé introduces more people to the versatility of ube.”
Toasteé will open at Westfield White City on 27 October, with its offer spanning French toast, ube drinks, house-made ice cream and Filipino-inspired baked goods.
