Elior UK has secured a multi-year partnership with Whittington Health NHS Trust to deliver catering and retail services at Whittington Hospital in North London.

Under the agreement, the contract caterer will manage the hospital’s Whittington Court food court and a range of additional food, drink and retail services.
The new offer within Whittington Court includes the N19 staff restaurant, Wild Green Deli, Cahoots Coffee, a separate coffee pod serving Costa Coffee and a retail shop.
Elior has also introduced smart vending machines throughout the hospital.
The partnership has included refurbishment of the hospital’s main courtyard, providing an additional space for staff, patients and visitors to meet and socialise.
Elior worked with hospital stakeholders to develop the new offer, with the refurbishment designed to complement Whittington Hospital’s existing dementia-friendly approach.
Customers at Cahoots Coffee can support Whittington Hospital Charity by rounding up their bill at checkout or purchasing dedicated merchandise.
The café also includes designated Chatter & Natter tables delivered in partnership with The Chatty Cafe Scheme, which aims to encourage social interaction and help address loneliness.
Elior recently marked the partnership with an opening event attended by senior Whittington Health NHS Trust stakeholders and hospital staff.
Guests toured the refurbished food court, sampled dishes from the new offer and attended an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Michal Seal, CEO, Elior UK, said: “We see this partnership as a chance to demonstrate what great catering and retail services can look like in a healthcare environment. Our market-leading approach brings innovation, insight and fresh thinking together to create spaces and services that deliver real value for patients, staff and visitors. By working alongside the Trust as a strategic partner, we are delivering a service that sets a new standard for hospital catering.”
