Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre and Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad have appointed Chef Satya Kumar as Multi-Property Executive Chef.

Chef Satya brings more than 20 years’ experience across India’s leading luxury hospitality brands.
His appointment marks a step in strengthening the properties’ culinary vision through innovation, authenticity and memorable guest experiences.
Chef Satya began his career with Marriott International and has since built experience across a number of renowned hospitality brands.
These include JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, Taj Falaknuma Palace, Park Hyatt Hyderabad, JW Marriott Pune, Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield and Sheraton Hyderabad.
Over the course of his career, he has led large kitchen teams, introduced menu innovations and was recognised as the winner of Hyatt’s Good Food Series 2019.
In his new role, Chef Satya will oversee the hotels’ culinary operations.
His remit will include menu development, kitchen performance and team mentorship across the properties’ dining venues.
Alongside expertise in menu engineering and food cost control, he brings a perspective shaped by an eight-month exploration of the culinary traditions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
During that period, he studied regional recipes, ingredients and cooking techniques.
The hotels said this blend of operational expertise and appreciation for local flavours will support their commitment to thoughtful and memorable dining experiences.
His experience and leadership approach are also expected to further strengthen the cluster’s culinary vision.
Chef Satya said: “It is an exciting opportunity to lead the culinary direction of properties that value quality, creativity and guest satisfaction.
“My journey has taught me that every menu has a story to tell, and I look forward to working with the team to create dining experiences that celebrate both familiar flavours and new ideas while continuing to elevate the hotel’s food and beverage offerings.”
Chef Satya’s appointment reflects Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre and Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad’s continued focus on building a team of experienced professionals who share a vision for hospitality excellence.
With his appointment, the hotels are set to further enhance their dining experience and reinforce their standing within Hyderabad’s hospitality landscape.
