Jason Atherton Introduces a New Era for Three Darlings Chelsea

July 28, 2026

Three Darlings, Jason and Irha Atherton’s neighbourhood brasserie on Pavilion Road in Chelsea, is entering a new era with the introduction of a fresh culinary direction.

Three Darlings Chelsea

The restaurant is cross-pollinating its bistro identity with MARIAS, the Athertons’ newly launched coastal destination at Principessa Forte dei Marmi, Autograph Collection, in northern Tuscany.

Named in tribute to the Athertons’ three daughters, Keziah, Jemimah and Athena, Three Darlings has always operated with the warmth of a family home.

That spirit of la famiglia now bridges the gap between London and the Mediterranean.

Forte dei Marmi has long served as a holiday destination for the Atherton family.

This year, that personal inspiration is being brought to life for Chelsea diners, blending the elegant, slower rhythm of Riviera dining with the community energy of Pavilion Road.

Central to the experience is Three Darlings’ 30-cover terrace.

While MARIAS in Tuscany celebrates local ingredients under the guidance of Executive Chef Giorgio Cicero, Three Darlings Chelsea will serve as its UK counterpart.

The newly launched menu is inspired by Atherton’s time creating MARIAS and brings a Mediterranean sensibility to the heart of Chelsea.

The seasonal menu opens with beef tartare, dressed with peppercorn sauce and paprika crisps.

Cornish bluefin tuna is served raw with thinly sliced tomatoes and tomato confiture.

St Austell Bay mussels and clams are cooked over embers in a garlic smoked mussel emulsion, while an Italian peach and avocado salad is finished with aged pecorino.

A fish special of red Cornish sea bream is served with saffron potato and bouillabaisse.

The wine and cocktail lists have also been curated to remain light, elegant and food-friendly.

Designed to bring Mediterranean spirit to Chelsea, the menus at Three Darlings seek to reflect the travels of the Atherton family and transport diners to the European coastline.

The interiors, designed by Irha and Jason Atherton, feature dusty rose, sage green and soft pastel tones.

Details include bespoke serving plates from Summer Bliss, Dr Vranjes Firenze scents and amenities throughout the restaurant, and a replica of a Forte dei Marmi beach hut on the terrace.

Created in collaboration with St Germain, the terrace feature will serve spritzes throughout the summer season.
