Crazy Bear has launched a new afternoon tea concept at its Stadhampton venue, offering a bigger and bolder take on the traditional format.

The new Afternoon Tea Feast has been designed in Crazy Bear style, moving away from the conventional dainty afternoon tea and replacing it with a table-loaded spread of sweet and savoury treats.
Guests can expect an abundant selection of finger sandwiches, warm scones, homemade macarons, cakes and patisserie-style treats, served on a bespoke wooden feasting table.
The handmade table is a feature piece in the venue’s new residents’ lounge.
Complete with a vintage vinyl record player, cocktail trolley and snug seating, the residents’ lounge has been created as a relaxed space where guests can unwind.
The Afternoon Tea Feast starts with a glass of Prosecco, with the concept designed to encourage guests to enjoy the experience without counting portions.
“Our new Afternoon Tea Feast is a sight to behold,” said Jen Needham, Marketing Director at Crazy Bear.
“It’s the latest step in our food and drink revamp and an appetite is essential as this is not a run-of-the-mill, dainty afternoon tea and going for it is encouraged.
“Whether it’s enjoyed in our relaxed residents’ lounge or outside across our gardens, you won’t find better than the Afternoon Tea Feast anywhere else.”
Booking for the Afternoon Tea Feast is recommended, although walk-ins will be accommodated where possible.
The experience is served between 2pm and 5pm on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, priced at £40 per person.
Guests are advised to check Crazy Bear’s social media channels for availability, as pre-booked events including weddings, birthday parties and anniversaries may affect service.
The launch of the new afternoon tea concept follows Crazy Bear’s relaunch in June, which introduced a refreshed menu, hedgerow cocktail range and refurbished spaces.
Hundreds of guests attended the relaunch, with entertainment including festival favourites The Cuban Brothers, a dance-off led by Latin dancers Ksenia Zsikhotska and Krystof Grzelak, and award-winning comedian and presenter Matt Richardson.
