White Oaks Secures New Senior Living Partnership with Housing 21

June 19, 2026

White Oaks, the senior living division of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has secured a new partnership with Housing 21, one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit providers of Retirement Living and Extra Care services.

White Oaks

The contract continues White Oaks’ recent growth across the care sector, following a number of contract wins spanning hospices, care homes and assisted living facilities.

Under the agreement, White Oaks will provide resident catering services for approximately 300 residents across seven Housing 21 developments in London and an Extra Care independent living development in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

Residents will benefit from daily lunch menus designed to provide balanced, nutritious meals while maintaining a focus on familiar dishes and traditional flavours. Menus will include a range of starters, main courses and desserts, alongside vegetarian options and lighter alternatives to cater for varying tastes and dietary preferences.

Nutritional information will be clearly displayed, with dishes identified according to calorie content and labelled where appropriate as vegetarian, healthy choice or high protein, helping residents make informed decisions about their meals.

Meals will be freshly prepared and served within communal dining settings, supporting both nutrition and social interaction among residents.

As part of the contract mobilisation, 40 employees have transferred to White Oaks.

Laura Tighe, Business Director at White Oaks, said: “This new partnership is a true testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team. At White Oaks, we believe that great food is at the heart of great care – it brings not just nutrition, but comfort, joy and a sense of community to residents every single day.

“As part of our remit with Housing 21, we’ll be bringing continuity across the sites, stable focused teams and a developed food offer – making a real, positive difference to the lives of the people we serve.”

Michelle Byrd, Deputy Head of Extra Care at Housing 21, added: “Lunch is such a highlight of the day for our residents, offering a chance to eat, socialise and enjoy a sense of community, so choosing the right provider for this is of the utmost importance to us.

“We’re excited to be working with White Oaks – we’re off to a very positive start already, with a seamless service during the transition period, allowing residents to continue receiving regular, complete meals without disruption. We’re very much looking forward to seeing this relationship flourish in the coming months and years.”
