Vagabond Wines has opened the doors to its new flagship Soho venue, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s ongoing expansion strategy.

Located on Ganton Street in the heart of Soho, the new site is the largest and most ambitious venue in the company’s portfolio to date. Backed by Majestic Wine Group and Fortress Investment Group, the opening reflects Vagabond’s long-term vision to redefine modern wine hospitality through a combination of technology, expertise and immersive customer experiences.
The new venue combines contemporary design with the brand’s signature self-pour wine technology. Design features throughout the space pay tribute to the winemaking process, including a staircase lined with traditional riddling racks, a curved central bar inspired by wine barrels and a private dining space surrounded by stainless steel tanks.
The flexible layout has been designed to accommodate a variety of occasions, from casual drinks and social gatherings to corporate events, private dining and guided tasting experiences.
Guests can explore the largest wine selection ever offered by Vagabond, including wines produced at the company’s Urban Winery in Canada Water. The venue also showcases a range of award-winning wines that recently contributed to Vagabond being named Producer of the Year at the Independent English Wine Awards.
The opening strengthens Vagabond’s position within Soho’s experience-led hospitality scene, with the brand aiming to make wine more accessible and less intimidating through a relaxed and interactive approach.
Christobell Giles, Managing Director of Vagabond Wines, said: “Soho thrives on breaking rules and pushing boundaries, so it is the perfect home for our new flagship site. I’m so pleased to finally be joining the amazing mix of bars and restaurants in the district and our team can’t wait to introduce thousands of new guests to the Vagabond experience.
“Ordering wine in central London can often feel like a bit of a non-event, but we want to hand the reins back to the consumer and give them an experience they will remember, every time they visit.
“We’ve created an amazing space in Soho that really enables that discovery, making wine engaging and enjoyable for everyone.”
John Colley, CEO of Majestic Wine Group, added: “We are delighted to be supporting Vagabond’s growth alongside the team at Fortress Investment Group.
“Today’s launch in a prime Soho location underscores our long-term strategy to scale Vagabond’s unique concept across the UK, and welcome a new generation of curious and adventurous wine drinkers into the Majestic Wine Group.”
The Soho opening follows recent launches in St Paul’s, Liverpool Street and Canada Water, with further expansion planned. The company is also investing in its digital capabilities, including its smartphone app, digital wine flights and e-commerce platform, helping customers engage with the brand both in venue and at home.
