Panzano, the acclaimed Italian restaurant located within Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver, has announced the appointment of Giovanni Lanzante as Executive Chef.

Bringing more than two decades of experience across luxury hotels, resorts, ranches and restaurants, Lanzante joins the property with a strong reputation for elevated Italian cuisine, operational leadership and culinary innovation.
In his new role, he will oversee all culinary operations at Panzano while also leading food and beverage production throughout Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver, including banquet services, catering development and special events.
Adam White, General Manager of Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Giovanni to Panzano and Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver.
“His enthusiasm for joining our team, developing our culinary talent and leading Panzano to new heights brings tremendous energy to both the restaurant and the hotel.”
Lanzante’s appointment forms part of the restaurant’s ambition to strengthen its position as one of Denver’s leading dining destinations, combining authentic Italian influences with locally sourced Colorado ingredients.
His culinary philosophy centres on celebrating regional produce while drawing inspiration from traditional Italian cooking techniques and contemporary hospitality trends.
Most recently, Lanzante served as Executive Chef at Vermejo, a luxury destination property in northern New Mexico recognised for its focus on sustainability, experiential dining and connection to the natural environment.
His previous leadership roles include Executive Chef positions at Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club in Colorado and Sheraton Denver Tech Center Hotel, alongside a range of senior culinary appointments across the hospitality sector.
Throughout his career, Lanzante has built expertise in menu development, procurement strategy, operational efficiency and large-scale event catering. He is also widely recognised for his experience in wild game preparation, live-fire cooking and field-to-table dining experiences.
At Panzano, he will focus on creating menus that reflect both the restaurant’s Italian heritage and Colorado’s diverse culinary landscape while mentoring and developing the culinary team.
His appointment reinforces Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver’s commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences and investing in culinary leadership as part of its broader hospitality offering.
With Lanzante at the helm, Panzano is set to build on its reputation for contemporary Italian dining while introducing fresh ideas, locally inspired ingredients and elevated guest experiences.
