Maya Capital (“Maya”), the pan-European real estate investment firm, has exchanged contracts to acquire and redevelop Hotel Belmont in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, on a subject-to-planning basis.
The property is a 3-star hotel with 42 rooms and 3 private apartments, situated just off one of Crans-Montana’s main thoroughfares. Maya intends to comprehensively reposition the asset to a 5-star standard, including the addition of a restaurant, bar and dedicated wellness facility, subject to planning consent. The total investment is estimated to exceed CHF 50m.
Crans-Montana benefits from year-round demand and attracts an affluent international clientele. The hotel directly overlooks the prestigious Crans-sur-Sierre golf course and is within easy reach of the resort’s world-class ski slopes.
Following Vail Resorts’ acquisition of the ski infrastructure in 2024, the resort is undergoing significant upgrades. However, remains underserved at the 5-star hotel level.
