April 27, 2026

Following its recent brand refresh, France’s Cidres Wignac has launched its trio of award-winning organic ciders in a new, charmingly chic 250ml cans ahead of summer.

A true expression of the terroir of the Ardennes, Wignac’s superior range is made with 100% organic pure apple juice with no added sugar, colourings or sulphites.

Available immediately via Casa Julia, the sleek, slim new cans will enable the family-run cider brand to better target the retail, fast casual, quick serve and event sectors.

Eliane Astor, who is the Co-founder of Cidres Wignac, said: “We’ve built a strong presence in the restaurant, hotel and bar sectors since launch but the recent brand refresh and launch of our first cans was needed in order to open up new opportunities, while boosting our visual impact and highlighting our unique proposition. We’re excited ahead of what we think with be a big cider summer.”

The new Wignac 250ml can range includes:

Wignac Organic Pomme Cider – 4.5% abv

The flagship cuvée of Cidres Wignac, Pomme is a cider made with 100% pure apple juice, all sourced from organic orchards. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is made with different varieties of apples, 65% cider apples and 35% eating apples. With no added sugar, colourings, or sulphites, it is crisp and refreshing with an apple backbone harmonising between the sweet and the tart.

Wignac Organic Rosé Cider – 4.5% abv

The Rosé Cider combines a subtle blend of 88% organic apple cider and 12% pure grape juice. It attracts the curious in search of something new offering notes of strawberries and raspberries. Without any added sugar, artificial colours or sulphites, it is an easy drinking, beautifully balanced artisanal product that will delight tastebuds.

Wignac Organic Non-Alcoholic Cider

Destined for both young and old who can’t drink alcohol or refrain from drinking it, Wignac Non-Alc is the latest vintage from Cidres Wignac. Arriving in the spring of 2020 and inspired by its counterparts, this alcohol-free super refresher is produced using 100% pure organic apple juice.

About Wignac

Nestled in the luscious Ardennes Forest in Northern France is the ancestorial home of the Wignacourt family – Chateau de Guignicorut sur Vence. During France’s Belle Époque or Beautiful Era, between the end of the Franco-Prussian War in 1871 and the beginning of the first world war in 1914, the chateau and the Ardennes region was rich in apple trees and orchards. These special apple varieties were celebrated locally and used by the Marquise de Wignacourt to make cider for the numerous country goodtime getaways, parties and picnics that were evocative of the period.

With two world wars devastating the region and ravaging its fruit trees, plus the Wignacourt line becoming extinct over the course of the 20th century, descendants of the Marquise de Wignacourt started to revive the orchards and the region’s cider-making tradition in 2015. Striving to put the Ardennes back on the gastronomic, cultural and natural beauty map, Wignac was launched in 2016 by Edouard de Merode and his sister Eliane Astor (née de Merode), who grew up in the Wignacourt family home.

An organic cider that is a true reflection of the Ardennes, the siblings use a secret family recipe, which utilises a special blend of organic cider and dessert apples. Specifically selecting late apple varieties that are harvested in autumn, the extra time on the trees is crucial to sugar formation, the blend and the final, unique Wignac taste.

The Wignac ciders are proudly organic and have successfully passed the CERTISYS – BE-BIO-01 Control. Certified by Ecocert FR-BIO-01. In addition to these organic credentials, the brand has also won numerous awards including a Great Taste Award in 2023.
