This month, Delamina EAST celebrates 10 years in Shoreditch, marking a decade as a long-standing member of the neighbourhood’s dining scene. Founded in 2016 by Limor and Amir Chen, the restaurant has become known for its vibrant Eastern Mediterranean cooking, warm hospitality and loyal local following.

The story began with a residency at Shoreditch House, where Limor’s colourful, flavour-packed dishes quickly built a following. Encouraged by the response, the couple went on to open Delamina EAST on Commercial Street, where it has remained ever since.
From the outset, the restaurant has reflected the founders’ personal story, extending well beyond the food. Limor’s artwork fills the space with warmth and personality, while family photos reflect the couple’s desire to create a true home-away-from-home. Limor’s cooking draws on family heritage and the diverse flavours of the Eastern Mediterranean. Inspired by recipes passed down through generations and the food she grew up with, her approach celebrates bold spices, fresh herbs and vibrant seasonal vegetables, with dishes designed for sharing and bringing people together.
Over the years, dishes such as the roasted cauliflower, hand-pulled shawarma and vanilla cheesecake nest have become signature favourites, capturing the overall style of cooking that defines Delamina EAST.
In a neighbourhood where restaurants often come and go, Delamina EAST has remained a constant. “We always hoped it would become a regular haunt for locals, as well as businesses and visitors,” says Amir. “Some of our guests have been with us since the early days, and now they bring friends, colleagues, and family. That sense of continuity is incredibly special to us as a family business.”
To mark the milestone, Delamina EAST will celebrate throughout the summer with a series of special menus and events, kicking off with a ‘Founders Dinner’ (10 June) as a sharing feast of signature favourites, and then a wine pairing evening (‘Pour & Plate’ on 8 July.
Ten years on from its beginnings as a Shoreditch House residency, Delamina EAST continues to offer what first made it so popular: bold Eastern Mediterranean flavours, genuine hospitality and a restaurant that feels truly part of the neighbourhood.
Expanding the Delamina style of food and hospitality, Delamina launched in Marylebone Lane, in 2018, and in late 2024, Limor and Amir opened Delamina Townhouse in Tavistock Street, Covent Garden.
