Downstairs at The Grand has announced Six Weeks of Summer, a new entertainment series running for six weeks at The Grand Hotel Birmingham.

Taking place from 16 July to 5 September, the programme will be hosted in Isaac’s restaurant and will bring together live music, summer anthems and seasonal dining.
Inspired by Ibiza classics, the iconic Café del Mar, Glastonbury sing-along tunes and jukebox summer favourites, the series will transform Downstairs at The Grand into a summer party setting.
Guests will be welcomed with a Hugo Spritz cocktail before taking their seats for a three-course meal from the hotel’s new summer menu, served between each set of live music.
New dishes include small plates such as marinated burrata with smoked tomato and chilli jam, chicken croquette with comté and wild garlic emulsion, and grilled lobster salad.
Main courses include grilled pork tomahawk with burnt corn and peach salsa, BBQ gochujang monkfish with fennel and chilli marmalade, and roasted courgette with basil orzo.
Desserts include tiramisu tart with coffee custard and strawberry trifle with elderflower crème diplomat.
The Six Weeks of Summer shows will feature a line-up of local singers and musicians performing nostalgic Ibiza anthems including Praise You, Murder on the Dancefloor and Make Luv.
The production is produced by Mr and Mrs Grey, whose long-standing contribution to Birmingham’s music scene is well established.
Using musicians from their roster of Birmingham-based artists, the show will bring together powerhouse vocals and live musicianship throughout the six-week run.
Icons, Club 1879 and Musical Theatre Thursdays will continue as usual at Downstairs at The Grand until 11 July, before Six Weeks of Summer begins on 16 July.
