Circular economy specialist Ramco has received a prestigious Green Apple award for Environmental Improvement for raising awareness of the value of surplus assets and saving thousands of items from hospitality and catering operators being unnecessarily sent to landfill.
Determined to put an end to throwaway culture, in 2022 alone Ramco prevented over 27,000 items from being needlessly scrapped, offering businesses a sustainable disposal solution for their surplus equipment, and promoting a more environmentally conscious way of working.
Neil Sanderson, founder, and Managing Director of Ramco said of the recognition: “We’ve been on the forefront of the circular economy since 1996, and it’s fantastic to be recognised for our ongoing commitment to help organisations find value in equipment they no longer needed.
“It’s an honour to receive this prestigious Green Apple award and great motivation for us to continue our efforts to help our clients extend product lifecycles and avoid waste.
“We’re looking forward to joining the official celebration at the Houses of Parliament in November and meeting other like-minded winners.”
Hosted by the Green Organisation since 1994, the Green Apple Awards recognise environmental best practice around the world, encouraging businesses to adopt a sustainable agenda. On a mission to find new homes for unwanted business equipment, Ramco is incredibly proud to join the Green Organisation community.
