By Denis Sheehan, Publisher, H&C News: The Caring Family Foundation provide 150,000 summer holiday meals for disadvantaged London children.
The Caring Family Foundation has announced providing 150,000 summer holiday meals for disadvantaged London children, singer Anne-Marie supported the initiative last week with a performance at Surrey Square school.
The Caring Family Foundation has pledged the meals to London children whose families are struggling with food insecurity and will be further hit by the loss of school meals during the six-week summer holiday.
Starting from July 6 the Foundation will provide nutritious meals for each day of the summer holidays to children in London, where over a third of children are living in poverty and more than 400,000 face school holiday hunger.
Anne-Marie said: “I am glad to represent The Caring Family Foundation as an Ambassador and keen to do what I can to help them highlight the scale of the problem and provide practical support to the most vulnerable.”
The Caring Family Foundation also provided healthy free ice creams for the children and visitors to enjoy the performance.
This commitment builds on the 1.2million meals that the Foundation has already delivered to children and families affected by food poverty in the last 2 years.
The Caring Family Foundation is committed to a vision of a world free from hurt, hunger and harm where women and children can thrive.
