An investment in a new multibillion theme park set by the Thames in Kent is moving towards reality as the government has given a go-ahead for the next phase of the development to progress.
To be known as ‘The London Resort’ the theme park would be a major boost for hospitality as new hotel and restaurant openings would be an integral part of the development. The location is the Swanscombe Peninsula close to Dartford and Gravesend.
Having now been granted ‘Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project’ status, the next step is to secure a Development Consent Order to progress further.
London Resort Company Holdings is leading the new £3.5 billion project and has said that the new development will be an important driver of new jobs in the area.
The theme park is understood to have a futuristic focus in partnership with film producers Paramount Pictures. This will allow visitors to go where no theme park has gone before via interstellar Star Trek experiences.
Looking forward to The Clink Charity Golf Day 2021 at The Belfry
