Wonderland Restaurants has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC to launch Park Row on Brewer Street, Soho this Spring.
Park Row is inspired by DC characters including Superman, Batman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman and The Penguin. It will be the first fully immersive gastronomic DC-inspired restaurant experience anywhere in the world.
Park Row is to occupy 18,000 sq ft basement venue at The Crown Estate’s Grade II listed 77 Brewer Street. Comprising five restaurants, offering 330 covers, and three bar areas with interiors designed by London-based Ab Rogers Design (ARD).
The ARD studio has designed the interiors to bring DC’s famous fictional environments to life, using objects, light and materials to create narratives that transport diners through the worlds of their favourite DC Super Heroes and Super-Villain’s. Guests will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of experiences that combine storytelling with world-class food and drink. The primary and core audience are foodies, comic fans, movie-goers, and adventure seekers as well as visitors to London and corporates.
The restaurants will be overseen by Group Executive Chef Cláudio Cardoso, former Group Executive Chef at Sushisamba. Mark Garston, Innovation Director (former Head of Central Development at three Michelin-starred The Fat Duck in Bray) and Creative Director Mike Bagale (former Executive Chef of three Michelin-starred Alinea in Chicago) are responsible for menu development.
Guests can expect historically inspired British sharing dishes at Pennyworth’s (named after Bruce Wayne’s butler, Alfred) in a relaxed yet elegant space. The Penguin’s opulent Iceberg Lounge is the largest restaurant in the Art Deco designed dining room featuring an international menu, cocktail bar and live entertainment every evening. A Harley Quinn-inspired restaurant presents a fun and playful omakase, whilst hidden away from the main room, Old Gotham City – a villainous speakeasy, offers inventive cocktails alongside sharing plates. The Monarch Theatre, Park Row’s multi-sensory tasting menu experience is housed within two identical spaces using state-of-the-art projection mapping technology, to explore the psychology of heroism through food.
Average spend per head starts from £45ph depending on the restaurant and £120ph at the Monarch Theatre. All spaces are bookable (except Old Gotham City available for walk-ins only), with lines open three months in advance for the Monarch Theatre.
