Casual dining operator Las Iguanas has partnered with Airbnb to become the first national restaurant group to offer two unique Experiences through the accommodation platform.
The Latin American specialists, who recently won Best Restaurant Chain at the British Restaurant Awards, are offering a bespoke monthly ‘Chef’s Table’ experience in London with award-winning chef and Las Iguanas’ Head of Food Development Glenn Evans. They are also offering Cocktail Masterclasses at their flagship restaurant at the Southbank Centre.
Participants of the Chef’s Table experience will be able to sample dishes from across Latin America, learn about the cuisine in detail and try their hand at making their own dish: Pli’s Pastels which Glenn and the team discovered at a small beach restaurant run by Plicila Caetano in Niteroi, a short boat ride from Rio de Janeiro. The Chef’s Table is available to book at Las Iguanas in Bloomsbury.
In addition, Las Iguanas Head of Bar Development Luke Neale will be hosting Cocktail Masterclasses at their flagship restaurant at the Southbank Centre. Participants can learn to make some of Latin America’s classic cocktails before enjoying a three course meal in the restaurant.
Glenn Evans said: “I’m excited to be running a regular Chef’s Table experience so that I can personally showcase the fantastic Latin food we have on the Las Iguanas menu. We’ve found so much inspiration on our travels and I enjoy the challenge of translating our discoveries into delicious dishes that taste just as great in the UK as they did on the beach in Rio or on the banks of the Amazon in North West Brazil. Everyone is welcome at my Chef’s Table, from groups looking for a foodie experience with a twist to independent travellers.”
