The Eden Hotel Collection is delighted to announce that two of its hotels – Bovey Castle, on Dartmoor, Devon, and The Mount Somerset Hotel & Spa near Taunton – have both been recognised by the AA in this year’s prestigious awards.
Bovey Castle has been awarded five Red Stars by the AA for its exceptional hospitality. Five Red Stars is the highest accolade awarded by the AA and is only awarded to the most outstanding of hotels. In order to achieve the prestigious five Red-Star AA rating, the hotel has passed a stringent list of inspections covering all aspects of service, food, bedrooms, bathrooms and cleanliness.
The Mount Somerset Hotel & Spa near Taunton is delighted to announce it has been awarded four Red Stars by the AA, making it one of the finest examples of a four-star hotel in Somerset.
Says Sir Peter Rigby, Owner, The Eden Hotel Collection, “Since the Eden Hotel Collection acquired Bovey Castle in 2014 we have been on a journey to bring Bovey back to life. We committed to a huge financial investment, encompassing restoration work and a complete refurbishment; we are delighted to achieve our key objective, in that Bovey Castle is now recognised as a first-class destination hotel in the South West.
“Similarly, we are thrilled that The Mount Somerset continues to perform to an outstanding level and we are delighted to celebrate the hotel’s ongoing success and its newly-awarded four Red Stars.”
Says Mark Chambers, Managing Director, Eden Hotel Collection, “We are delighted that the AA has recognised the hard-working teams at both Bovey Castle and The Mount Somerset over the past year. The dedicated teams at both hotels are committed to providing the exceptional levels of service and hospitality which underpin everything that we do.”
