Award-winning caterer, KUDOS has recently worked alongside the BBC at KUDOS’ Yorkshire based venue, The Royal Hall, Harrogate.
The BBC Good Food event, returned to the Harrogate International Centre for the fourth consecutive year, showcasing the best of local producers, experts, chefs and restaurants in an interactive setting that allowed guests to ‘get up close and personal’. The event saw many high profile guests attending, with the likes of Italian culinary genius Antonio Carluccio, Great British Menu’s Tom Kerridge, two starred Michelin Chef and Le Gavroche’s Chef de cuisine, Michel Roux Jr. and Saturday Kitchen’s Lorraine Pascale in attendance.
The Royal Hall, managed by catering and venue management team, KUDOS was tasked with hosting the ‘Michelin Masterclass’, an up-close demonstration into high-end gastronomy performed by Michelin-star winning, Tom Kerridge and Michel Roux Jr, followed by a three course dinner for all attendees.
The menu dishes were first demonstrated by the chefs and then created by KUDOS’ expert in-house team of World Masterchefs, with the menu consisting of a starter by Tom Kerridge, a turnip & horseradish soup with Hand and Flowers beef jerky, mead jelly and rocket oil followed by Michel Roux Jr’s main course comprising of rack of lamb with saffron, onions and Madeira, served with cracked wheat. To finish, locally sourced Yorkshire rhubarb was used by the KUDOS team to create a trio of desserts consisting of sour cream rhubarb squares, rhubarb and ginger syllabub, jellied rhubarb and vanilla soup. KUDOS, whose ethos is centred on working with local suppliers, then finished the event with a cheese board of Yorkshire cheeses including Harrogate Blue, Wensleydale, and Yorkshire Fettle served with an array of crackers, chutneys and grapes.
