Pop up bar catering for cocktail and beer lovers alike will open next to the iconic Manchester building on Saturday 3 December.
Car-themed cocktails including a Spark Plug, Anti-Freeze, Silencer, Super Charger, Throttle and Piston will all be on offer in the Garage, a new pop-up bar opening just in time for Christmas until the end of April 2017.
The themed bar will open in the annex next to what is now Manchester Hall (previously the Freemasons Hall) on December 3rd. The bar and the landmark building that is Manchester Hall are both located on Bridge Street, close to Spinningfields, and just off Deansgate in Manchester City Centre.
Patrons will be served drinks by bar staff dressed in mechanic’s overalls and the interior will also have a car theme, with wall lights created from old headlights and car front grills and license plates decorating the walls.
The bar has a capacity of 120 people. It can cater for private parties for up to 80 people.
The Garage pop up bar is the first in what will be a series of new openings as part of the new £7 million Manchester Hall refurbishment by Vision Developments, owned by property development and investment professional Stephen Cliff who has over 22 years’ experience in the property industry.
Commenting on the Garage opening Stephen Cliff says, “We were occupying what was a former garage space so we thought we’d have a bit of fun with the theme – especially as it’s only here for a few months. We’re aiming to be a bit of light relief and give people a chance to come down, have a few drinks and have a real laugh in a bar that’s not taking itself too seriously.”
