Leader in hotel TV and hospitality technology, Acentic has recently appointed Tony Buszka as VP of New Revenue Development and Strategic Projects for Acentic Media, a service which is making a real mark on the hotel advertising sector.
Now a market leader in media services for hoteliers, Tony helped launch the Acentic Media platform back in 2010.
In a further step to help the hotel industry monetise hotel TV and digital screens, Tony’s first move in his new role has been to strike a partnership with CScreens, the UK’s first OOHTV+ (Out-of-home) advertising network.
H&C talks to Tony about how Acentic is tapping into this relatively unchartered territory which is proving lucrative for hoteliers and brands alike.
What does Acentic Media offer hoteliers and brands?
For Acentic hotel partners, the Acentic Media platform offers a no-cost, value added advertising platform which can be tailored to fit each operator’s guest profile and includes the ability to handle the hotel’s own messaging and campaigns seamlessly. Operators can tap into the support of the Acentic Media team through all of Acentic’s In-Room Entertainment and High-Speed Internet platforms.
For a brand or advertisers the platform offers access to a selection of audiences which can be targeted to help raise awareness for a campaign. In addition to this through our sophisticated reporting and analytics dashboards, we can also help brands track live viewing statistics for a campaign. The system collates the number of pages viewed by guests, providing commercially vital feedback for the advertisers involved. We have had excellent feedback.
What does this new partnership with Cscreens mean for Acentic?
It is a breakthrough moment for us. With the support of CScreens we will have the ability to reach out across the UK and ultimately Europe with our unique offering. We hope to activate and monitor TV advertising campaigns across Acentic’s portfolio of rooms in the UK giving our hotel partners the opportunity to monetise their hotel TV screens.
Which brands have you been working with?
Acentic has already worked on an impressive portfolio of big brand campaigns including; San Miguel, BMW, Heathrow Retail, and Swiss International Airlines, (SWISS) delivering over 9.5 million impressions over its current hotel networks.
We have just completed a campaign for BT to promote its services to business owners staying in the Liverpool area during The International Festival for Business 2016.
The campaign displayed a series of BT ads on the Internet landing pages (guest log in pages) and TV screens of participating hotels. This was a huge coup for us, we are essentially getting the BT brand out to a target audience of thousands through our smart hotel TV systems and HSIA systems.
Working with CScreen’s network of global advertising partners we hope to attract bigger campaigns to the Acentic hotel network.
