Keith Prowse, the UK’s leading corporate hospitality provider, has announced that Martha Collison, youngest ever contestant on, and star of, Great British Bake Off will be joining as the official afternoon tea advisor for the Wimbledon fortnight.
Martha will be re-imagining afternoon tea in Wimbledon’s award winning venue, The Gatsby Club, rounding off a day of world class tennis and mouth-watering food, designed and served by three generations of Roux; Albert Roux OBE, his son Michel Roux JR, and granddaughter Emily Roux.
Since appearing as a contestant on the Great British Bake Off in 2014 aged just 17, Martha has continued to grow her foodie credentials, writing a weekly column for Waitrose Weekend as well as working with a number of high-profile brands.
Martha is also an internet sensation with her YouTube videos amassing over 1.5 million views and she has also appeared in a number of TV programmes including Blue Peter, The One Show and BBC Breakfast. She will also be launching her first book, Twist: Creative Ideas to Re-invent Your Baking (HarperCollins Publishers), on July 14th.
Martha Collison comments: “The opportunity to bring my own twist on afternoon tea to such a prestigious event is extremely exciting. Wimbledon is a highlight of the summer sporting calendar and I’m looking forward to working with the supremely talented team at Keith Prowse to ensure guests at The Gatsby Club finish their day out at the tennis in style.”
Andy Vinsen, chief operating officer at Keith Prowse, adds: “As our afternoon tea advisor, Martha will bring to the fore one of Wimbledon’s finest traditions, with an added twist. I’m absolutely delighted that she will be joining us in The Gatsby Club for the whole fortnight and can’t wait to taste the culinary treats she will be serving up.”
