Vegware (stand 1235, Food and Drink section)
Winner of over 50 awards, Vegware makes completely compostable packaging from plants, not plastic. Along with an impressive environmental impact – the firm saved over 3,200 tonnes of carbon in materials last year – this year’s vibrant display proves that eco can be trendy, too.
The urban-design Street Food zone shows off the ultimate to-go products, including the launch of Tasting Notes, Vegware’s colourful new collection. Other style collections include the artisan chic Kraft collection, and the White collection, for the crisp ‘eat clean’ look.
The Innovation zone displays Vegware’s R&D triumphs, including the award-winning Gourmet Range and RCPLA cutlery, the first certified compostable cutlery made from 100% recycled plant-based material.
The Custom Print Café showcases Vegware’s in-house Creative Consultancy and ability to custom-brand a variety of packaging.
The Food Waste Network (stand 3141 – Waste-Works)
Vegware is at the forefront of the zero-waste movement in foodservice. The free Food Waste Network matches UK businesses with a food waste recycling partner, and has successfully introduced zero-waste systems in businesses and institutions across the UK.

Vegware – Award-winning Growth
Growing by 57% annually over 3 years, Vegware has recently been awarded two high growth business rankings; The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, and the Deloitte 2015 Technology EMEA Fast 500.
Managing Director Joe Frankel founded the firm in 2008: “When we started, sustainability was a niche concern. Now Vegware’s eco catering disposables are used at 50% of the UK’s universities, swathes of Canary Wharf, and at corporate restaurants and artisan cafes across the UK. We are proud to be the leaders of our field, and our growth trajectory proves that we have taken sustainability mainstream.”
Earlier this year, Vegware opened a Bristol office to serve its expanding customer base in the UK. As the only compostable packaging company operating globally, Vegware has operational bases worldwide. Vegware also supports non-profit projects through its Community Fund.
