Bromsgrove School in the West Midlands
Set in 100 acres of beautiful parkland Bromsgrove School caters for 1300 13-18 year olds. The school dates back to 1553 and although there is a new catering wing planned the school and catering department are continually looking at ways to improve their food displays.
The busy catering operation, headed up by Nick Bryan, Executive Chef Manager serves breakfasts and dinners daily for the 350 boarders and then lunches for up to 1300. The menu includes a salad bar buffet, and a wide selection of hot meals and desserts.
Nick Bryan said: “Primeware’s Quality Melamine range is just like porcelain yet practical as is virtually unbreakable. We had been looking for a while for suitable dishes for our salad bar and when I saw this product knew we had found the answer. It not only looks the part it is cost saving as we do not need to keep replacing it. The coordinating shapes and sizes of the dishes & platters allow us to plan easily and give us flexibility with the look of the counter display.”
The salad bar required a selection of dishes & platters of various sizes to suit their wide range of salads and main items.
Heather Brooks from Primeware says, “We worked with Nick to produce a layout that would suit and make sure the products were right for his requirements. The catering department is very busy and durability was a key requirement for the school.”
The Quality Melamine range offers a selection of shapes and sizes and colours and Bromsgrove School selected dishes from the square bowl, oblong bowl and platter ranges. The square and oblong bowls are available with lids and the platter with a raised clear lid.
Quality Melamine unbreakable dishes look and feel just like porcelain, they are stackable, available with lids and in black and white.
