Tiki bar and club brand Lola Lo – part of Eclectic Bars and Clubs – is launching exotic cocktail-making masterclasses in partnership with premium rum brand Havana Club as a core part of its sales-driving initiative.
Tapping into the occasions market and using the sessions to illustrate its range of cocktails, Lola Lo is adding a dash of exotic paradise to special events.
“Cocktail masterclasses are exciting events, and as we are marketing ourselves as a provider of high-quality cocktails in a Tiki bar setting, it seems a logical market to tap into,” says Lee Nicolson, operations director of Eclectic Clubs & Bars.
“The classes offer a chance to see behind the scenes of the world of bartending and allow people to learn a new skill while having fun.”
The specially-developed cocktail masterclasses have an exotic theme and are designed to be hands-on and enjoyable. The classes are offered as a complete package, with participants going home with not only a new ability but also mementos of their day.
Customers are welcomed into the Polynesian world with champagne and flower garlands, and an introduction to the Tiki way of living and drinking. Master bartenders will demonstrate three cocktails before giving customers the chance to try their hand at shaking up their own versions behind the bar. Customers will then be let loose with a range of premium ingredients to create their own cocktail delights.

Digital media will play an important role in highlighting the new offering, with Facebook and web pages, and Twitter feeds describing the cocktail masterclasses and showing a specially-created video.
