Clos Maggiore has been crowned London’s ‘Most Romantic Restaurant’ in Harden’s Restaurant Guide 2013, cementing its reputation as the leading venue for London lovers for the second year running.
The Covent Garden fine dining French restaurant festures an intimate, blossom-filled conservatory with a view to the stars and a roaring log fire, naturally attracting amorous couples. Guests have been won over with the restaurant witnessing weekly marriage proposals from starry-eyed lovers.
Harden’s Guide is compiled from 85,000 ‘ordinary’ diners who report their experiences to the publishers. Comments from Harden’s reporters included: “It’s like an enchanted garden”. Diners also pointed to its “breathtaking’” conservatory, “delicious” cooking and “unbeatable” service.
Executive chef Marcellin Marc serves beautifully presented contemporary French cuisine, which has seen the restaurant maintain three AA rosettes and boasts one of London’s largest selections of wines, with more than 2,000 bins.
Paul Corrett, owner of Clos Maggiore, said:
“We’re thrilled to have been given the title of most romantic restaurant in London for the second year in a row. It’s a fantastic achievement for us and we work hard to ensure the ambience and cuisine result in customers choosing us to celebrate very special occasions.”
