For more than five decades, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has called the multicultural, bustling city of Toronto home. On 5 October 2012, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto will open its doors to guests from all over the world to welcome them into the company’s brand new flagship property, built and designed to showcase the next generation of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts properties worldwide.
Soaring above the city’s skyline and located in the heart of Yorkville, Toronto’s shopping quarter, the hotel will blend warm sophistication with spectacular design – including a large fountain towering four stories tall.
The landmark Hotel will offer an immaculately-designed two-story Spa, international dining options, flexible function rooms and glass-enclosed event spaces, and, of course, Four Seasons guest rooms. The 259 personalized accommodations include 42 suites that feature interactive tablets, lightning-speed WiFi, easy climate control, digital signage and marble bathrooms with discreetly hidden televisions inside mirrors.
Technology at your service – and finger tip
The all-new Toronto hotel will engage the growing trend of hotel guest self-service technology among travelers and has partnered with software solution company Intelity to amplify guest services: Intelity’s ICE (Interactive Customer Experience™) Touch guest self-service technology will be on iPads in every room.
Hotel management seeks to perfect and expand upon the impeccable level of service expected when staying at a Four Seasons property by providing guests with the ability to make requests and order services with the touch of a finger. Powered by Intelity, in-room tablets will allow guests to order room service, schedule spa appointments, and request wake-up calls, in addition to 30 other services.
The ICE technology will also be available on guests’ personal smartphones and tablets via a free download.
Dimitrios Zarikos, regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto comments:
“Guest self-service technology is becoming a ‘must have’ among average travelers, whether they are doing business or enjoying a personal vacation. Some travelers would forget to pack a toothbrush before they left behind their smartphone. We are exploring a variety of ways to harness this technology to provide the greatest benefits for our guests and to conveniently extend additional services to them.”
And David Adelson, president and CEO of Intelity adds:
“This partnership will allow Four Seasons Hotel Toronto to distinguish itself by providing first-class technology that will match the high caliber of traditional hotel service. By taking advantage of the latest in technology, they’ll be able to ensure an even more unforgettable guest experience.”
