The HandCNews.com Football Pie League, sponsored by Moduline is delighted to report that we have secured another new sponsor for the 2011/12 season, Pig in a Poke Wines.
Commenting on the decision to sponsor the league Joanna Morrell, Marketing Director at Pig in a Poke said, ‘we have watched the league develop over the past few months with interest. The passion the fans have for the pie experience at their club and clubs they visit is exactly what we want our brand to be associated with.
Pig in a Poke is all about the experience of drinking wine, we want our consumers to simply enjoy their wine knowing that our label translates to a consistently enjoyable experience.
We ran a very successful competition with Hospitality and Catering News recently, so the results from that coupled with the pie passion demonstrated by fans in the season just gone made our becoming a sponsor a simple decision.
We look forward to the season ahead and wish all the clubs good luck in what should be a very exciting second pie league’.
Joanna and one of her colleagues will be at Portman Road next Tuesday where Ipswich Town will receive the inaugural HandCNews.com Football Pie League trophy.
Other guests include Nigel Thomas Director of Moduline the catering equipment company and main sponsor of the league, as well as guests from Adnams the brewers, Pie Makers Kentish Mayde, Lindley Group Catering and local press.
We will have photographers at the event and will bring a full report on the presentation.
The 2011/12 season will be upon us before we know it so we encourage all football clubs to start promoting their pie offerings, including non league clubs.
