The Westminster Collection is delighted to welcome its 50th member – 28 Portland Place, demonstrating a truly remarkable 100% membership growth during the past 12 months, with a further 25% growth planned for 2011.
28 Portland Place, a beautiful town house built in 1775 and situated in the heart of London brings a modern twist to a historic building whilst still keeping within tradition. The perfect venue for an array of events from meetings and conferences to weddings and Christmas parties, five rooms of varying size are available, each sympathetically restored, maintaining the luxurious and elegant ambience of the building. Standing out as a delightful, exclusive venue with capacities of up to 120 guests, the majestic building is able to comfortably cater to a range of events whilst offering charming surroundings proves the 50th member a worthy addition to the collection.
René Dee, chief executive of The Westminster Collection comments: “I am very pleased to welcome 28 Portland Place into our growing and loyal membership. Being our 50th member, a milestone in itself, it represents all of the qualities and attributes that have guided us in our development, and the representation of what is best in London’s leading business tourism destination, Westminster”.
He added, “This achievement is just the beginning of what promises to be a very productive and exciting year for the Collection in 2011with the launch of a targeted blog for the event industry in January, its ‘Early Bird Showcase’ on the 8th February at One Whitehall Place, and the launch of a newly focused PR and Communication strategy to support our members and the industry”.
A ‘50th Member’ celebratory evening and exclusive concert performance by the internationally acclaimed Cantabile:The London Quartet will be held at No.11 Cavendish Square on 12th January 2011.
