Independent catering group CH&Co has announced the appointment of LEGOLAND’S Michael Holland as its new Marketing Director. He replaces Vanessa Schotes who has moved to a marketing role outside the food industry.
Strong trading performance
Michael joins the company as it plans to build on its current strong trading performance – last year CH&Co announced a 26% rise in turnover to £97 million and expects to comfortably break the £100m turnover milestone this year. The recently announced purchase of the Apostrophe café group – which opened in Shoreditch in 2001 and now operates from 23 locations in central London, Heathrow and Gatwick – heralds a new opportunity for CH&Co in the workplace, at day visitor attractions and on the UK’s high street.
Michael’s role will be to build the seven CH&Co brands, including Apostrophe and continue to help the business’s wider expansion outside of its geographic heartland, with contract wins such as those this year at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and Warwickshire’s Compton Verney Gallery.
Michael was previously Head of Marketing for the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, where he launched the UK’s only LEGO themed hotel and family attractions based on the popular LEGO Star Wars and Duplo toy ranges. Before that he managed marketing and PR for Wembley Arena, Conference & Exhibition Centre; handled communications across Westfield’s UK portfolio of retail and leisure destinations; and led marketing at Hammerson’s £350m mixed-use development, Highcross Leicester.
