Restaurateur Martin Kuczmarski is set to open Chelsea Counter in London this November, bringing the counter-style dining concept behind Dover Street Counter in Mayfair to a second location.

Situated close to King’s Road in Chelsea, the new restaurant will offer all-day dining alongside an extensive cocktail menu, with an emphasis on informal dining and evening social occasions.
The opening follows the launch of Dover Street Counter in December 2025, extending Kuczmarski’s growing portfolio of London restaurants.
Inspired by the counter-style dining culture of Los Angeles in the late 1950s, Chelsea Counter will combine globally influenced dishes with a neighbourhood restaurant and bar format.
The concept is designed to accommodate a range of occasions, from casual daytime dining to evening drinks and late-night meals.
The menu will feature a selection of snacks and sharing dishes, including purple potato crisps with San Marzano tomato salsa and buttermilk fried chicken served with hot honey and sesame.
More familiar dishes will include a four-cheese toastie, French dip sandwich and cheeseburger, alongside soups and salads.
Larger plates will include spaghetti all’assassina, spicy baked baby chicken, slow-cooked short rib with fries, grilled salmon and half lobster served with herbed garlic butter.
The drinks offering will place particular emphasis on margaritas, with a dedicated selection featuring pineapple and lychee variations alongside established cocktails including Tommy’s Margarita and Spicy Margarita.
Music will also form part of the restaurant’s atmosphere, with a soundtrack focusing on 1990s R&B and soul throughout the day and evening.
Chelsea Counter builds on the approach established at Dover Street Counter, which opened in Mayfair as a more informal dining concept within Kuczmarski’s restaurant portfolio.
The restaurateur’s other London ventures include The Dover in Mayfair and Martino’s in Sloane Square.
The addition of Chelsea Counter will further expand his presence in London’s restaurant market, introducing the existing counter-style format to another established dining neighbourhood.
The opening comes amid continued restaurant development in Chelsea, with operators investing in new neighbourhood dining concepts and food and beverage destinations around King’s Road.
Chelsea Counter is scheduled to open in November 2026, with a specific opening date yet to be announced.
