Ivan Ramen is set to open its second London restaurant on Askew Road in West London in late November 2026, continuing the Japanese dining brand’s UK expansion following its Farringdon debut last year.

Founded by chef Ivan Orkin, who featured in Netflix’s Chef’s Table, the restaurant concept originated in Tokyo before expanding to New York and subsequently London through a partnership with hospitality growth platform Sessions.
The new Askew Road restaurant will accommodate 28 diners, providing a slightly larger dining space than the brand’s original 26-cover Farringdon location, which opened in November 2025.
The menu will feature a selection of Ivan Ramen’s established dishes, including Shoyu, Spicy Miso Red Chilli and Tonkotsu ramen, alongside Japanese small plates such as Ivan’s Karaage and Crispy Nasu.
Desserts will also feature, with further menu development planned for mid-December. Orkin is currently working on additional Japanese dishes, including Katsu Curry, to complement the restaurant’s core ramen offering.
To mark the opening, customers will be offered a two-for-one promotion on selected ramen dishes during the restaurant’s first week of trading.
The interior will continue the design approach established at the Farringdon restaurant, combining influences from traditional Japanese ramen bars with elements of New York diner culture.
The Askew Road site will feature the brand’s manga-inspired lightbox, alongside counter and banquette seating influenced by Japanese ramen-ya and tachigui-style dining.
The opening represents the next stage of Ivan Ramen’s expansion in the UK, following Orkin’s established restaurant operations in Japan and the United States, alongside earlier London pop-up activity.
Ivan Orkin, Founder of Ivan Ramen, said:
“It’s so exciting to be opening a second site in London, a city that I love and is a real hub for food, culture and creativity. London has embraced Ivan Ramen from the very beginning, so I’m thrilled to be able to bring the experience to even more people. We’re looking forward to becoming part of the neighbourhood and continuing to share a menu that we’ve poured a lot of thought, history and flavour into.”
The expansion is being supported by Sessions, which partnered with Orkin to establish the brand’s first permanent UK restaurant in Farringdon.
The hospitality growth platform works with food brands to develop their operations and extend their reach through new restaurant locations and other trading opportunities.
Dan Warne, CEO and Founder of Sessions, said:
“It has been an honour to work with Ivan and his team over the past year. Following such a fantastic response to the Farringdon launch, we knew there was an opportunity to take it further. Helping founder-led brands reach more of the people who love them is what Sessions does best, and we’re incredibly excited to support Ivan Ramen as it takes its next step and continues to make its mark on London’s food scene.”
The Askew Road restaurant will become Ivan Ramen’s second permanent UK location, with the business continuing to develop its presence in London’s Japanese dining market.
An exact opening date has not yet been confirmed, although the restaurant is scheduled to welcome its first customers in late November.
