Big Mamma Group opens Edmondo, a new Italian osteria in the heart of London’s financial district, on Friday 6 November 2026, expanding its restaurant portfolio with a venue inspired by the architecture and dining culture of 1930s Milan.

Located at 6 Lombard Street, near Bank, the restaurant occupies a Grade II-listed building and accommodates more than 200 diners, combining Italian cuisine with Art Deco-inspired interiors and dedicated private dining facilities.
The design draws inspiration from Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan, designed by Italian architect Piero Portaluppi, incorporating architectural features associated with the period alongside contemporary restaurant facilities.
A large central bar forms a focal point of the restaurant, offering a dedicated space for drinks, while an open kitchen counter allows guests to watch the chefs at work.
The venue also features three private dining rooms, accommodating groups of between 10 and 24 guests.
La Libreria incorporates Italian architectural features and a collection of Ferrari memorabilia, including original drawings and a vintage racing suit, reflecting the heritage of Italian motorsport.
Il Salotto retains historic English timber panelling within the Grade II-listed building, providing a separate setting for private dining and events.
The third room, Il Ridotto, offers a more intimate space for smaller gatherings.
The restaurant’s menu focuses on traditional Italian cooking, incorporating produce sourced from Italy alongside British seafood and meat.
Head Chef Alfonso has developed a selection of dishes showcasing regional Italian ingredients and established cooking techniques.
Menu highlights include XL focaccia, gnocchi al Gorgonzola inspired by the cuisine of Lombardy, and seafood dishes featuring Cornish crab and turbot.
The meat offering includes a selection of native-breed steaks supplied by Philip Warren, with cuts ranging from T-bone to tagliata, finished with Edmondo’s signature spice crust.
Desserts developed by Pastry Chef Angelina include Italian chocolate cake with a molten centre and a reinterpretation of the traditional affogato.
The drinks offering, overseen by Bar Manager Ilaria, includes a cocktail selection featuring house barrel-aged Boulevardiers alongside other Italian-inspired drinks.
Founded by Victor Lugger and Tigrane Seydoux in 2013, Big Mamma Group has developed an international restaurant portfolio, with established London venues including Gloria, Circolo Popolare, Ave Mario, Carlotta, Jacuzzi and Barbarella.
The opening of Edmondo brings the group’s approach to Italian dining to the City of London, adding a large restaurant and private events venue to the hospitality offering within the Square Mile.
